Jonas has been a politician of the Pirate Party since 2020. He is a coordinator of the taskforce of education and member of the taskforce of health and healthcare. In the election for Bundestag and Landtag 2021/22 he stood as a candidate for the NoCovid health policy and covid-proof education.
